What shapes the scope

Oversight needs vary with the practice and the work involved. Discuss these factors so the proposed engagement reflects actual responsibilities:

  • Services, devices and the clinical complexity of the treatment menu.
  • Provider roles, experience, availability and training needs.
  • Locations, on-site participation and consultation coverage.
  • Chart review, protocols, documentation and onboarding work.
  • Whether the practice is opening, expanding or changing its current arrangement.

Assessing local fair market value

We assess local fair market value for the medical director’s practice-of-medicine services based on the local market, the agreed service scope, the time involved and the physician’s clinical responsibilities. The assessment and proposed compensation should be documented around the work to be performed, rather than referral volume.

The scope may include:

  • Chart reviews and on-site clinical training.
  • Protocol review and adverse-event management.
  • Clinical orders.
  • Clinical review and approval of online wellness and prescription medication services, including prescription weight-management therapies and peptide therapies only where legally permitted and clinically appropriate.
  • Performing good-faith exams and coordinating their documentation with ongoing care.

Request physician-supervision pricing for your New Jersey practice based on its services, clinical responsibilities and the work involved. Rates, expected work and charges must be confirmed for your engagement.

The assessment informs an individualized proposal and does not, by itself, establish legal compliance. Review the proposed scope and written pricing before an engagement begins.

From inquiry to engagement

  1. Introduce your needs. Select your professional persona and tell us about your practice, client or clinical interests.
  2. Review fit. Discuss structure, services, qualifications, availability and the support required.
  3. Review the proposal. Clarify responsibilities, pricing, payment terms, exclusions and any transition or termination provisions before signing.
  4. Prepare to begin. Complete the agreed credential review, documentation, operational onboarding before clinical work starts.

Questions to settle before signing

  • Which activities and locations are included?
  • Who handles clinical questions and after-hours escalation?
  • What requires an additional discussion or amended scope?
  • How are changes, notice and records responsibilities addressed?

Submitting an inquiry does not create an engagement, reserve coverage or authorize a charge. Fees are discussed individually. There is no guaranteed onboarding timeline, clinical outcome or provider income.
